Atleast Nineteen killed in traffic accidents during Eid celebrations

The festive celebrations of Eid al-Fitr were overshadowed by multiple traffic accidents across the country, with speeding and negligence resulting in the loss of 19 lives and numerous injuries.

In Sargodha late at night, a speeding rickshaw collided with a motorcycle on Sillanwali Road, killing 2 individuals, including an 8-year-old girl, and leaving 5 others injured.

Emergency services quickly transported the deceased and injured to the hospital for treatment.

In Lahore, a motorcycle crashed into a pole at the Jinnah underpass, leading to the unfortunate deaths of 2 young men.

In Tando Allahyar, Sindh, a speeding car plunged into a canal, drowning 4 individuals.

Similarly, in Renala Khurd, a vehicle’s collision with a motorcycle resulted in 3 fatalities, including 2 women.

Accidents involving motorcycles also claimed 8 additional lives in Qambar Shahdadkot, Mirpur Sakro, and Hafizabad.

Meanwhile, a traffic accident on Club Road in Islamabad left multiple individuals injured.

Reports indicate that 4 of those injured are in critical condition, including a 6-month-old baby, all of whom have been rushed to the hospital.

In Haripur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9 individuals sustained injuries in 3 separate accidents.

Motorcycle accidents on Haripur Tarbela Road and Kachhi Road resulted in injuries to 4 people, while a speeding rickshaw overturned on Haripur Dhenda Road, injuring 5, including women and children.

The injured have been taken to the trauma center for treatment.
